Failing MOT on emissions........

well the valver went in for its MOT today

i got a call saying they were struggling to pass it through the emissions test..

now it is an N reg so needs a cat which i put back on for the test, although since i had the test last year i have been running a Decat so its not like the cat could have deteriorated on the car.....

does anyone have any ideas how i may sort this?

Best give the car some of that engine cleaner stuff rag it round for a bit to clean it out then take it back.
or put a 1.2 CAT on it.

If a car fails on emmisons somehting usually wrong with the cat.

turned out to be a lamba sensor needed

has just scraped it though...yay

now need a new lamba.....best place to get one from?

I had to have mine replaced as it failed its mot when i bought it a few months ago, didnt have to pay thankfully...
