fan belt

just been towed to garage by RAC - my fan belt has snapped - is this an expensive job to have put right??

Clio 182s don't have fan belts, guessing he means aux or cambelt, if so it is very likely to be expensive, was it due?

had cam belt done in Feb - it was a belt that he pulled up from front left side under bonnet and showed me it was snapped said he didnt want to pull it right out in case it was stuck round something else!!!

It's the Aux belt, was the replaced?

aux belt. might be ok if it's been thrown off rather than being tangled round the bottom pulley

aux belt should have been replaced at the same time, it has to be removed to do the cambelt. Was it a "local garage" ?

Mine has snapped but RAC man wouldn't pull it out completly in case it was stuck - ball park figure how much do you reckon??
