I think the problem is more that they use standard plate sizes, and dont tend to have the cut down 520x90mm ones. Is it possible to cut down a standard sized plate without cracking any of the plastic? Have access to band saws. Most markets have number plate makers. Granted, they're usually for "pl4yboy bunni" for your bedroom wall, but I know Kempton Park near me used to do them for cars too.
Yeah exactly, not worth it! Would rather go through fancyplates with cliosport discount. I didn't tell them fancyplates prices no, but they told me that they do get requests for plates from astra owners for the same size and that they cut down the standard size plates for a charge of £7.50 which seems expensive.Hardly worth the £2 saving really. Fancy plates quality is very good. This other guy is untried. I take it you told him that fancy plates charge £21? That's where he's got his price from. It probably costs them £5 if that to do it
Sounds good! I know on ebay for a set of standard front and rear it's only £12 posted! Amazing what's charged for 20mm off.A guy I used to work with used to get sets (I'm sure it was front and rear) for £14. I'll ask where from and if they do custom sizes if people want?
I ordered the heavy duty weather resistant velcro ones off ebay for about £4. Don't know how they'll hold up yet though!ive been using the cheap ebay seller for a while but I cant find double sided sticky pads that are strong enough to keep them on for long enough. The fancy plates ones are like nails when on lol!! so ive been back to fancy plates!
Well I'm happy to order and take photos to show you all.
I believe so yeah. I think they're going to show the plates as stock on their website in the future though as a selection in the builder but in the time being you have to email them.So what i need to do if i want one front one from them? just email them and state number plate size ie 520x85 and the number plate?
What size is the 3/4 plate again
