FAO: 1.4 RT Owners Limit on my clio

i have got a clio 1.4rt and it limits at just over 4000 rpm. is there anyway of moving it and has any1 else had the same problem

Limits at 4k??? You mean when you floor it, itll bounce of the limiter at 4000 rpm in any gear? Thats well dodgy seen as the RT dont have a variable limiter to protect the engine, it should kick in at 6500-6750rpm. Sure its not a diesel youve got under the bonnet, lol

Id go ask Reno whats up, see if they know, then take it to a decent garage to get it fixed.

mines up around 6750 as well, give or take a little - 4K sounds well wrong, go get it looked at.

unless you mean the limit as in the power limit i.e dies off after 4k?

If it dies after 4k theres summit up, it should pull up to 5500 before starting to die off at least!

f**kin hell. i think theres summit dodgy there. i mean when u go up through the gears it limits jus afta 4000rpm and i have to change gear. there is like 7thousand on the clock. is there any way i can change this. its a 1995 clio 1.4rt cheers

Definitly needs taking to a garage though to get it sorted!!
