fao 360 owners

  none :(
thinking if getting a 360, with this crap with the psn going down and time its taken to resolve i think i want a change. Just after a few opinions, how do these rate compared to the ps3.

how are they online, how much does membership cost and whats the deal with the points, how do these work etc.
I know the games are generally multi platform bar a few so that doesnt worry me, also what ar people views on the controller, is it a better set up than the ps3 on
How do people rate kinnect, also is the xbox able to connect to the net wirelessly
is the movie rentals section any good, do u get iplayer etc

i now this thread with probably turn into a 360 v ps3 debate, but please try and keep it on topic

I have both so hope this is unbiased.

The 360 is a better gaming machine than the PS3. infact for me its a better media streamer too. My PS3 looks lovely, and since I got a slim it no longer gathers dust like the old glossy one did due to its matte finish, but the xbox actually does get used.

Xbox online is not going to look much different for the popular games, well its working but thats only with the recent sony f**k ups. I pay about £30 a year.

Controller is better simply because of the position of the left analogue, your thumb isn't in an awkward position like it is on the PS3. The PS controller was fine when analogue's weren't used as much but really needs changing now. Also having the xbox analogue sticks domed in to seat your thumbs is nicer, as is the triggers being pointed up to keep your finger on them.

Never tried Kinect, have rented a movie once, it failed and still charged me, not used it since.

Never tried kinect so can't pass comment.

Joypad is far superior much more comfortable (unless you have the hands of a 4 year old) than the PS3, triggers are so much more adjustable for driving games, sticks are better placed and again nicer feel to them. XBL as said is £30ish a year, game updates happen much quicker (few seconds) so wave goodbye to waiting 15 minutes when you put a disc in and the PS3 tells you there's an update you need to download. Party chat etc make it far more flexible and user friendly than PSN.

For the record I own both and the PS3 rarely gets switched on.
