Hi mate,

How did u find your old Hayward + Scott exhaust on the Mk1? Did they construct it to your specification?

Ta mate

Ah yes sorry I just found this post:oops:

They were fantastic. Very good workmanship and they made the exhaust exactly to how I wanted it. ( I didnt even think it was possible ) I really did not want a rear box like the Magnex oval and it had to be way off the ground for my liking, without cutting it into the bumper.

I asked for "Not too loud" and thats what I got. 4 months later I thought it was getting louder so they did their magic "FREE" I believe I was their first "Real" Clio 172 customer. They started to produce off the shelf systems for the 172 after a while. Off course personal one offs would always be a few bob more.

I still see my old 172 regularly ( Gainsborough Carpets London Rd Chalkwell )

The H&S box is still on it :D

When I was there they had just been given a contract to supply a scooby place ( in the unit behind them ) I saw what must have been about 1000 rear boxes for scoobies.

It does look much better, fits the car better!
It was about 2 years ago now I think about £400 ish

They had the car for around 4 days, but that alone saved me about £100 in petrol I didnt use.
