If you want to just change the colour of your wheels that are already laquered,
Could you just use a grey scotch pad to ruff the laquer then reprime and spray different colour?

yup, dont need to prime if the surface is good, just grey scotch then basecoat

Yeah surface is fine so no need to prime again,great thats one less thing to do
