FAO: home audio geeks - SVS speakers?

Been looking around for surround sound stuff.

I blatantly can't afford them but I'm being drawn towards the SVS SBS-01 speaker packages, with either the PBS-10 sub (I think that's what it's called) or the 12 inch version.

Has anyone had any experience of them?

Thanks in advance :)

i heard a set of single ones quickly not listened to a full film through them

but heard good things about them for small speakers that look good

I think it's just the massive bass that the SVS are said to have that's attracting me

I really want the PB-13 Ultra (I think?) version of the SVS - flat response from 20-150hz apparently and powered by quite a large internal amp that means it properly drops, even to about 10-15Hz... *drool*

Sadly it is muchos coin - like over a grand - which is what the SBS-01 set up is going for with all the speakers and the sub too :(

Is that the one around £500? Or the £1000 one.

Old man is looking at them. Probs the £500 for his needs

My old man has my old Denon 6.1 Amp if he decides to get the Onkyo will shout at you. Tis a good amp. Model escapes me was about £300 from Richer Sounds year or so back.

LOL I have lost touch with Home Cinema to be honest. Stereo for the win ;)
