FAO N95 Owners

My N95 is going well, but noticed a small problem, sometimes wen i slide the phone open, the keypad lights illuminate, but sometimes it doesn't do it.

Is this a problem that u've have experienced?.. apprently this is a problem with the n95s, hence why there are some being returned and refurbished.

Yeah I have the same thing.

Unsure but does it have a light sensor? So it lights up when its dark but not in daylight. Just I opened it next to a light, no illumination but the keypad lit up when i opened it in the dark.

Exactly that, it lights up if the ambient light around the phone is dim, and doesn't light up if the light is bright enough for the user to see.

yeah I know my N80 used to but wasn't sure if my N95 does. Even so I know its not exactly the best at times.

They have a light sensor, the sensor is just left of the camera on the front... slide open in good enough light and the keypad lights wont come on, but if it gets dark the screen dim's and the keypad lights come on.
