just wondering what sort of gains you had experienced. my standard ones are 'rs' stamped and i'm getting matched inlets fitted on sat.

still hoping for decent gains, am i expecting too much?

I had definate gains but I also fitted the ptfe gasket

Also depends on your original manifolds quality

I'm waiting on a set to be sent back to me from Jamsport and getting the PTFE Gaskets with them :)

Had RS inlets. Noticed no difference power wise and that's with the PTFE gasket other than my plenum now stays warm not hot.

Others MPG went up. Mine dropped from 40+ to about 33.

Go figure. But then I always seem to have bad luck with motors.

See if it's any stronger after a decat is fitted and I try and get some more cold air into the box. RS Tuner seemed to make it feel more eager to go from lower revs but wouldn't say it was any quicker.

hmm you think it is worthwhile trying to get a ptfe gasket before getting mine fitted or not?

i have a panel filter, bigger air feed, cat back exhaust with de-cat and rs tuner (getting custom mapped once inlet is fitted)

i was kind of hoping (and had always assumed) that mine wouldn't be 'rs' stamped ha. should have really checked before ordering.

anyone know whether it is worth getting a ptfe gasket?

RS lowers, especially 182's always gains the least out of any of the inlet combo's....a lot of owners can end up feeling disappointed.

The least that anybody has reported is 1bhp peak gains without a remap, but that still resulted in 6bhp/lb.ft midrange gains.

All in all, depends how sensitive you are to a 3% gain.

Contact me if you want a PTFE gasket set. Jamsport are using them on their inlets and hopefully JMS tuning will be doing too. Icarus is a very respected figure on this site and he gives the gasket a vote of thumbs up - more so than anything because they are reuseable so you should never need to buy another set.
