Fast road geometry settings

  ph1 track weapon
As above please

Getting the car set up on Thursday, and wondered what settings people run. Will be mainly road use so nothing too drastic really :)

For a fast road car personally i'd have 1.5 degrees of neg. camber on the front with 5-10 minutes of toe out. I'd leave the rear as is or zero the toe in on the rear also, there isnt a lot more point in going madder than that. Will never seek the limits of grip/the car on roads anyway.

I haven't had mine done yet - but most say that

1.5-2degrees neg camber on the front (2 degrees gets a bit fun on normal roads though lol) and 1 degree of toe out for a bit better turn in
That's what I'm gonna get mine set to for brands hatch and see how I get on

1 degree of toe out will see a set of tyres in no time at all, maybe you mean 10minutes?

I have run -2.5 on the road and found it too light at speed and too twitchy. You had to have very steady steering inputs. The turn in was incredible, it was hard to believe it was the same car after fitting camber bolts.

I am now running -1.0 and it is a good compromise, but it could do with being at little sharper so it is going for some more adjustment.

I think -1.5 would be perfect for the road, but it is personal preference, it depends how exciting you would like the daily drive to be.

Will I need camber bolts for adjustment or is there camber adjustment as standard? Car is currently running way too much camber I think so wanting to dial a bit out tbh!

Running gaz coilovers if that makes a difference, buy no camber bolts

My car is running -1.0 with standard bolts, i thinking this is down to the amount the front has been lowered. I used bolts when it was running -2.5. Worth buying a set for £20 and having them with you. Most geo places will charge more than this for them, if you don't need them, then just sell them on.

If i have mine set to -1.5, i think the bolts will need refitting.

Tbh for the sake of £20 I'm gonna order a set. Seems more than a degree of camber I reckon as it's given me a fair bit more road noise.

I really need the whole lot properly set up, corner weighted and done properly when time and money dictate at the end of the month!

Get a PROPER tracking set up done on it, camber too, and then see what you think. It transformed mine. Corner weighing is quite extreme IMO.

Seriously, I thought mind handled brilliantly before, had the tracking and camber done, it was like a different car, the previous "limits" just weren't there any more, I found I could carry so much more speed is was unreal (and a little scary).

Went to K-Tec for my geo setup Ed. I remember you saying you went to X-Sport with your old PH1, worth doing the same again?

As you are pretty much running the same setup just in a PH2!

Yeah that's what I'm thinking but they dont do geo. So probably set up myself then go to the local place for tracking
