Faulty climate control / heating

Well my first problem has developed :|

Going along and suddenly it decides despite being on "min" temperature and not on auto mode at all, that I should get fully hot air blowing in my face. Seems like the hot/cold thing has got jammed into "hot". It happened once on Tuesday but it cleared after I uped the temperate to top then back down again, but now it doesnt seem to want to go away.

Anyone had anything similar, or, know what it might be and how simple a fix it will be? i.e. will my car come back having had monkeys removing all the dashboard and put it back with about 3 fewer screws?

had exaclty the same thing i could put temp up but couldnt get it down again and as u it would just randomly even tho on min start blowing hot air, mine was down to a faulty mixer motor and air box or something similar, take it to renault asap i hope its under warrenty cos its a dash out 1-2 day job,

Had the same problem, replaced my climate control computer and the mixer motor which had burnt out!

Cheers guys for the info.. back it goes I guess, when I get a chance. Just went out now and it was all fine. Very random.

well finally managed to book it in, got car back this morning. apparently a faulty temperature sensor was to blame..

this makes no sense to me because if i have selected "min" surely that means whatever the temperature in the car, i dont want any hot air.

but, it does appear fixed in that i can dial up intermediate temperatures and the mix of hot/cold changes right away, which it never did before

so im kinda happy and can plan some longer journeys in the sun!!

yep was thinking an internal temp sensor or flap motor fault.
