FBW. No throttle. Numerous dash lights.

Was fine 1 minute then bang, no power, TC light on along with SERV light and the box light with squiggly line going through. Car came to a halt. Wouldn't start then did with revs bouncing rapidly between 2.5-3k. Went on too proceed to a car park further up the road with it idling like that and had no brakes.

Shut the car off and then tried starting but it won't start at all now unless I pull the lite black hose off the inlet too make it leak on purpose. With it idling like this at 1.1k I have no throttle at all.

I did search this problem but didn't really get a positive answer hence my post.

Anyone know what's involved, ie just replace a part, clip needed etc

Water gets in there and it goes chicken oriental, unbolt it, clean it then bolt it back up (DO NOT go mad, just a few turns so it won't come off)

When ours did the same thing it was a faulty throttle body.

Thankyou Fred. Will have a look once the rain stops. May call you soon with an occurring APD problem which needs sorting..!
