Not sure what they normally go for but that's alot of monies for a 205...surely it's not going to appreciate much more ?

Why not try and find a bit of a project one (for peanuts) and make the profit yourself?

looking currently for classic status car to hold value ideas welcome, id have another mini but have had loads lol

White the best colour? Surely you'd want a 1.9 im Miami blue. Neighbors had one in the day loved it.

I like that 205 being one of the early 1.6s. It's been up for ages though simply because it's massively overpriced, no one will pay that.

If it was Miami blue 1.9 with power steering and 20,000 miles from new, I could understand the asking price.

I sold an absolutely mint 1.6 about 2 years ago. Full history and pretty much unmarked. I had it up for £1999 for a long time (2months iirc!) before I sold it.

Yeah I wouldn't want to give much more than 2 bags for it. I think they are playing on it being on of the earliest ones and having low(ish) miles. Look at that sagged bolster though:dead:

There's another B reg 1.6 for sale somewhere that's been fully restored, up for £10k!!!!!!

You've wanted to sell your clio more often than I have Paul!

If you're wanting to buy a car as a financial investment, you're onto a loser straight away. Your money is safer elsewhere.

309 GTi is the true hero choice.

Now you're talking...rarity, plus more weight over the back equalling better handling...Love them in red!

Was a totally mint one for sale recently at under £2k, someone would've got a nice car.
