Ferodo DS2500 Help?

Err...

I've just had to grind 2mm of metal off the backing plate, to get these pads to fit in their caliper slots.

Is that normal, or have I had a dodgy batch ?

Did you take the lid off the brake fluid resevouir and lever the gap so its at its max?

PS: I dont know much about brakes!

lol, omar i was waiting for some kind of post from you regarding fitting. Mine came in the post this morning...£85 from DT Will let you know how i get on with the fitting, hopefully better than u :-S lol. Sure someone will assist with the problem shortly tho....if its any help the Performance Friction pads i'm currently running took a bit of persuasion in the fitting process....just a bit of filing here and there really iirc...2mils not alot anyways :-D

No, this was logitudinally - so as per diagram:

PS Those pads are something else - I wish I'd bought them in the first place.

Which pads are you talking about mate? I'm not looking forward to fitting mine lol. GDI fitted the yozzasport kit and unfortunately i didnt pay much attention when they fitted the pads lol

yes, i found out the hard way, mine needed ALOT grinding off, i kept the metal spring clips... they must do something LOL

I've kept mine - they've gotta be there for a reason right?

My last pads slotted straight in and out, hence I was a bit worried!

PS Gary, they're the Ferodo DS2500 pads I'm talking about.

not really there for any reason, they're anti squeal plates, but don't work
