My policy ends this wknd and im looking to get 6 months insurance, just back on my rt for now.

Just wondering if anyone pays monthly on their insurance or has taken out a 6 months policy?
Who with and where's best??

Also a few people have been saying it isnt possible at 18 to pay monthly (i.e pay one month at a time and cancel whenever you wish)??

any help greatly appreciated!

Just pay for a year, when you cancel you'll get half back (i think)

Right,

You cannot get a 6month policy (most dont)

You can pay monthly but some companies charge a premium for this.

You can cancel the policy at a certain stage, but sometyimes what you get back isnt the full amount. There can be cancelation fees or in most cases the first few months cost the most.....and the end months are worth less in the policy terms.

So all i can suggest is ring around and double check there terms before taking out a policy. A bit more work for you to do but if you want to get the most money back you will have to do it.

There are places that do offer short term policies, but again at 18 may be costly.

Might not be suitable mate, but have you thought about stretching to a 10 month bonus policy to get a years no claims out of it ? Seems a pity to waste 6 months paying insurance when an extra 4 months would get you a years no claims.
