Few more newbie questions

Currently looking to own my first 172 Cup, been to see a few that tbh were all a let down.

Anyways ill get to the point, ive been told a few things id just like to verify.

On the front bumper, the cut out at the top that runs just below the grill there are two little black tabs at either end. Ive been told if thee should be black and if their the same colour as the car then its been painted, although this seems foolproof bit of information is this the case?

Also the '172 Cup' on the B pillar, the ones ive seen both has this on but ive seen a few advertised that just say 172 and no marks of anything else being there (apparently they come off easily) did some come without the Cup sticker on or?

And last but not least, on the cars ive seen ive noticed corrosion under the boot latch (on the door shut) even though the rest of body does not show any sign of rust, is this a common place of weakness? how quickly does this become a problem? I know some cars are prone to a weak spot, Mk4 Golf's have weak wings and even the slightest bubble can turn into a hole within 6 month

Thanks :)

The "black tabs" are actually stickers. If they're not there then the bumper has definitely had something going on - whether it's a Cat C rebuild or simply a guy who loves his paintwork and had a respray due to stone chips is up to you.

All 172 cups came with the "172 cup" detail on the B-pillar, but it's definitely fair to say most have fallen off by now! Whilst the massive majority of parts are interchangable (and many cup owners upgrade certain items, like fit xenons or leather seats from a "normal" 172) good indicators of it being a cup are: non-leather interior, no headlight washers on front bumper just blanking plates) and having AC (instead of climate control).
