he said he had a rolling road coming up in january to confirm it
o and amy can u find a number or website for that paint shop in three bridges please?
was it itb's (throttle bodies) or an itg maxogen?
Sorry to have a b**ch, but me and several mates agreed this is the worst clio trophy we have ever seen.
It has a number plate that is most easily recognised as "tw*t"
Wheels downgraded from the really nice trophy alloys to smaller 2118s with no centre caps...WHY?
Mirrors gone from body colour to black... WHY?
Yellow harnesses??? yukkk! colour clash!
These are the only things that we noticed at first glance, dare I ask what other vandalism has been committed?
Each to their own and all, but I'm always of the opinion when you buy a limited edition car it should be left alone.
He probably meant ITB's, chris is new to all of this, give him a break!
Are you for real? If you (and several of your mates) thought so strongly about this car, why did you not go and have a chat to the owner at the meet?
You obviously didn't go anywhere near him or the car for that matter, as you are whinging about yellow harnesses. Where in fact they are red.
Who is the tw*t here now? You perhaps.
In fact, I would have loved for you to say to Matt about his plate on the day.
Next meet will be very interesting.
Oh, his trophy is probably one of the most sorted and improved and looked after.
Who gives a to55 if it was a limited edition. I know Matt doesn't.
Idiot
if you're not bothered why bring it up?NOT THAT I'M REALLY BOTHERED ANYWAY MATE!
was'nt having a go just interested thats all :quiet:
I thought all your cars looked s**t...
Jack, get real if you're not bothered why bring it up?
Oh and Tbh Im not keen on the alcantara bits you've done on yours but im not yelling about it! So put your dummy back in.
Oh and rear silencer mounts are about £25.
I thought all your cars looked s**t...
I would have spoken to him if I had known who the f*ck he was.
Ok mate, no worries... I wasn't being disrespectful when I mentioned 'knowing who the f*ck you were' ... I was merely stating to the masses who said I should have spoken to you that I didn't get a chance to find out who owned the car.
Thanks for reply, I'm assuming you didn't pay "top dollar" for it then! Otherwise the sachs (I think that's what they are, I know they're expensive!) went to waste!
Did you buy it for the colour then (over buying a cup)? cos it seems like most of the parts that are unique to the trophy have been replaced with something else.
I thought because both mirrors were black you had some sort of colour scheme going on, didn't realise it was just a temporary solution until you could get them painted.
The rears aren't sachs AFAIK, slightly uprated 182cup one's. Be interested to try a Trophy with the rear coilover unit from AST.I'm still using the expensive & excellent front Sach dampers, which have now been un-pinned to release 40 clicks of adjustment. I've only binned (well stored in my garage) the Sach rear dampers which can't be converted to adjustable with a set of matched Konis.
As for the colour, it was the Recaro seats that did it for me. I wasn't too keen on the colour to begin with. LOL
I bought my Trophy three years ago from Masters in Beckenham and paid a good £2K less iirc. Most owners registered on www.cliotrophy.co.uk paid around the same as I did, in fact a few got them even less.
In fact all of my mods can be put back to std very easily on the car, still got the original wheels, steering wheel, springs, dampers etc etc. Wouldn't take much effort put it back to how I purchased it. Even the roll cage unbolts without leaving any holes. But there is little point for me as I don't intend to sell the car, even if I buy another.

Just a badge from what I've been told. If you re-order them, the fronts come via sachs, the rears from Renault.Well my rear Trophy dampers are badged Sachs!
The adjustment dial is pinned in place using a grub screw. Remove the grub screw and you can adjust the damper. What do you mean by unpinned? Wheres the adjustment? Camber? Damping rate?
A good £2k less than what? List price?
Nah I agree it can be put back to standard easily, I think the turinis really set the trophy off nicely (fitted some on my 182 ), that's why I thought it was a shame you had put 2118s on there, but if it spends more time on the track than it does on the road that's perfectly understandable.
Aren't tempted to sell the turinis are you?

Sounds like a nice friendly CS meet

From what I know, has to be adjustable.Do you have adjustable top mounts to get 2.5 degs of camber or will the standard mounts go to that?
