Few Questions

Hi,

Just a few questions I have been meaning to ask for a while now. Firstly what grade oil does everyone with the 2.0l engines run them on? 5w-40 or 5w-30?

Secondly, when i did the spark plugs in my car. I noticed that there were a few plugs that you have to unplug to take the "top metal part off" lol. Its the part that says Renault Sport on it. Well anyway the part that go into the metal part, are they suppose to be solid so they dont move, or slighty loose?

Thanks

5w-40w fully synthetic will be fine. Yeah the top plenum chamber needs to be removed. Im not sure what you mean by a bit being loose but it doesnt sound right. Theres a guide on how to remove it in the guides section.

What i mean is on the top plenum chamber there are plugs that need to be unpluged to take it off. The part that is attached to the plenum chamber, are they suppose to be slighty loose?

Thanks

Its ok to unplug it all. There are 2 sensors which I think you mean, the map sensor (black sensor near oil cap) and air temp sensor (grey sensor on other side). Both of these are normally loose and can move around but they shouldnt be loose enough to fall out. Both of them can be pulled out by hand.

Ive had it all off and everything because if just done the plugs. But was just wondering if the part that the plug plugs into (the part attacked to the plenum chamber), is suppose to be slighty loose. Or solid so that it doesnt twist. Just that ive nether seen it like that before. They have always been solid. Sorry if im not making sense lol

The only other bits i can think of is the coilpack and the throttle body, neither of these should be loose at all!! If you mean where the leads plug into the coilpack, from memory these will twist with a bit of resistance..

on the right hand inlet runner? the air temp sensor (grey or white, with the connector at 90degree angle)
