files that wont delete

hi all. ive got a couple of JPEGS in a folder that wont delete. any ideas?

Ive had this, restarting doesnt work. still have them there.

Download a program called Your Uninstaller! 2006 it wil delete anything

try restarting in safe mode and see if you can delete them

LOL at you boys

You don't need to download jack, just use MS-DOS (cmd.exe in Run) to delete them.

Reason windows wont delete them is because they probably have erroneus characters, or extremely long filenames.

Run DOS, navigate to correct folder (using dir and cd commands, cd c:\my documents\my pictures\, type dir again, see if the files are listed, then use del Britney* etc etc)

Will work no problemo, failing DOS skills though go get a program called KILLBOX, beaut of a program, will delete and stop any process/file at one-click.

^ as above if no joy there use rd to delete the folder instead.

^ as above, before you delete the folder, make sure you back-up anything you want, prior to doing so. Deleting things via DOS makes them bloody hard to retrieve!
