filthy alloys?

my alloys are filthy on the inside rim, ive tried autoglym engine and machine cleaner but its still not budging..

tried fairy power spray s**t

no use

think im going to have to look at acid based cleaners??

recommendations?

we got like a chemical cleaning bath thing at work which i think uses some paraffin or something to clean and a brush.. usually works very well.. think it will do damage to the alloy finish or my tyres?

I am trying Coratex this week on mine, its an abrasive cleaner we use at work, usually at really high temps. However I will be using it cold with a brush in my drill. Obviously I will do a test patch first! I will let you know if it works or if it east my wheels!!

I tried AutoSmart Ali clean. Did insides good but still feel rough when try and wax them. Can't quite get them to gleam!

Is clay that good compared to acid?

Clay will shear off stuck on stuff, wheel acid will dissolve it. A mixture of both in most cases should clean them up.

As rich says, i would then polish them with autoglym SRP, and follow it up with 2 coats of autoglym Extra gloss protection

i found auto glym clean wheels and a steam cleaner cleaned my old wheels up a treat.

Tried AutoSmart acid cleaner. Made wheels dull and still didn't pull it off. SRP no better but got some of the shine back.

It's one wheel. Maybe a refurb but then the rest will look bad!
