no probs, basically the process is, as told to me by FM_AVA_696.
Wet and dry all the areas (using wet and dry paper, starting with a course grain and going finer p320-p500-p800-p1200).
Once that is done, and you are happy with the finish, use masking tape and newspaper and tape off all the areas you don't want to paint. Make sure the surface is clean and dry, with little or no wind and no rain. If you have a garage, even better. Then spray around 3 coats of primer onto the surface waiting for each coat to be touch dry. After this, leave the coats to dry for a around 6 hours or speed up with hair dryer until rock hard. Then use the p1200 wet and dry and smooth this down again. After this do one or two more coats of primer.
Now, do the same for the spray paint, but use nice and thin coats, and do around 5 or 6 coats and wet and dry it down after about 3. Leave this to dry for about 24 hours until fully rock hard dry, do not rush this part!!!
Now do the same as this, but for laquer. Do a thin coat, then a bit thicker, and getting thicker do about 4 coats. Leave this to dry. This should look very smooth and gives a shiny finish.
Now to finish it off. use a cutting compound (like a paste) and rub this into the newly painted body work with a damp cloth, this ensures no lines or marks are left and that the surface is completely smooth.
Now its finished, rub this down with the compound as many times as you feel necessary.
Dont worry about removing the news paper between primer and paint etc. I did this loads of times, but make sure everytime you drive the paint or primer is dry.
