finally time to get a clio, but which one!

i have wanted a clio sport for the best part of 3 years! was going to get one a couple of years ago but high insurance put me off, and i ended up with a 206 gti, which has been great for over 2 years, but now time to get what i originally wanted! what are the main differences between the 172 and 182? do they feel similar to drive? any noticable differences? also has anyone gone from a 206 gti to a clio, how do they find running costs? cheers
