First 172 mods for me - 56k no way!

Well this week I've made my first mods to my 172.

I picked up the turinis for £300 from Andrew172Cup on a Sunday morning couple of weeks back. Brought them straight back and got them refurbed and resprayed in a charcoal/anthracite colour at Laptab in Birmingham last Tuesday. Left them until Saturday to get fitted as I couldn't get my tyres swapped over until then.

Spent some time at Kwik Fit in the morning getting my original tyres - Pilot's - swapped over on to the turinis. Would have been £15 a wheel but with a bit of trade discount - £30 for the lot balanced and all! Then the left overs swapt onto my original 172 wheels, which were promptly sold in the afternoon to a member of here A18XHO who drove up from Southend for them!

They were fitted and loved them but knew they would be better later on in the week as I was ordering some goodies from Ktec on the Monday. Must say impressed with service and delivery from them too.

On Tuesday - a parcel arrived at work which had some eibach sportlines and some clear side repeaters inside

These were fitted aswell yesterday along with an oil and filter change at one of my best customers. T&R in Hockley, Birmingham.

How do you find the springs?

Wheels look sweet and so does the car

looks really smart that, a lot of modding being done, springs need to settle still i take it.

im finding the sprins much improved over standard seem a bit tougher and handle more sharper in the corners. yeah id of thought give it a week or two and the springs will drop slightly more when settled.

looks good mate, same model as my old 51 plate iceburg with its driver and passenger door keylocks, always cracked me up that renault removed the keylock on the passenger door LHD after 03/04.

Looking good mate, your turini's suit the silver paintwork.

Sadly in my eyes my turini's re-furbed at Lap Tab were far to dark for a black car, so I have removed them and there now being re-furbed again in Coventry in a bright silver. DOH.

Well I did ask and was told that the alloy had been sprayed loads of times and wasn't the real colour.

Oh well, live and learn.

ive never noticed that.
just been looking at some clios after 2001 and they only have the lock on the passenger door?
is that what you are describing?
but for lhd it is obvioulsy ok because the lock is on the drivers side.
cheap lazy renault couldnt change the side of the lock for rhd!!

its known to them as "light grey renault" and is a 95% match

brakes are needed for the front. so was thinking some brembo max and ebc red pads??
