first car, need some help!

  LY R26
hi guys, i turned 17 a few weeks ago and last week i went and bought a 2004 1.2 dynamique in black. i want to spray the renault badges on the front and back of the car but have no idea on how to get them off and put them back on, any ideas?

and also if you have any simple tips to make the car look better without my insurance company robbing me anymore then it is much appreciated!

thanks, richy!

the front one just pulls off mate then it just pushes back on. the back ones abit harder though. you have to tease it out bit by bit from each edge of the badge (assuming you are onabout the diamonds) if you are on about the other badges too, im not sure how they are stuck on. on the mk2 sport models the renault and sport badges are stuck on with badge tape and the clio badge has 2 pins on it but im not sure if its the same for all the clios. hope this helps though bud.

Not all insurance companys charge alot to lower or change the wheels, If so id say i set of 172 wheels and lower on 60mm springs, cheap enough to do and looks good i reckon.

A lot of insurance companies dont charge/charge less if you lower by less than 50mm if thats something your interested in.

To get the rear diamond off and do it properly you need to take the boot lid interior panel off (1 torx bit in bottom corner) then just prise it off.

undo two bolts holding the exterior diamond surround on / basically the boot handle an then you need some patience and wiggle it free

then pick the glue off the four pins on the back off the diamond and push it out..

paint wait to dry etc etc

push it back in glue the pins if you like

place back on boot bolt back in place

put linner on replace torx bit

close boot and enjoy ~
