First day out with cam & first PS play

Purchased camera Friday. I know sod all about photography, but plan to learn and so took the camera out for the day

got a few ok shots, but it was cloudy and dull so wasnt expecting much, but im quite happy with the D40. I think it will be a good beginners camera for a numpty like myself! most of these pics are on pretty much straight out of the box settings.
