First go at PC'ing my Clio - (loads of pics)

Well got my kit through today from www.CleanYourCar.com which was spot on service and really happy with it

Was really overcast so I couldnt get any decent before pictures but trust me it was screwed!
Anyway, I'll let the pics do the talking!

this one is with the left half done, can;t tell though:!

These 2 show the line where the tape was on the bonnet between doing each half, shows how bad the swirling was!

The next show before and after of underneath the handles, made a huge difference!!

Now just some random ones of the car finished

I'm really happy with the results, although it's not perfect it is miles better!!!

Big improvement there buddy, not bad at all for a first attempt and you will only get better.
Just don't go to a petrol station or park under a street light tonight -you will find a swirl and will be livid!

Got a few cars to do already with it when I get a chance so should start paying for itself soon.

To be honest I quite enjoyed it as well, got a lot more confident as time passed, although I did learn a few lessons about marking better and claying better!

I've toyed with the idea a few times to be honest, including some other bits like colour coding, but I'm taking the plunge and getting a 172 in July when my insurance is 'only' £1800, just purely to have a bit more fun in a car before it becomes impossible to have fun! So for now the car will stay as it is, no point wasting the money.

Not sure on price just yet, I would estimate it will be on 40k by then well you've been in it you decide!
Was £950 fully comp verus £1700ish on the RS Clio..

Lol thats interesting, fek knows I had loads of quotes all over the place with the same company, just bought the cheapest one then gave them the reg over the phone!

Definately ph2 mate, I'd love a cup but would have to have aircon.
Not sure which would be better for me to be honest, love the cup blue but like the toys in a FF!

My spec would be a Monaco on sportlines, with a prospeed set into the rear bumper and a cup splitter, probably leave it at that.

Depends whats around at the time to be honest, if I find a good straight cup with aircon then I'll have it, if I don;t ill find a nice FF, I'll be just as happy with either!

It's easy as pie seriously, just dont rush until you work out what your doing etc and you'll be fine.

It is a lot of money but can get it back fairly easy, I've got a few mates who want their cars doing at £40 a pop so thats paying for half of it already so can be seen as investment

TBH it just needs a good going over with a PC polisher, got some swirl marks that make me cringe when the light hits them eeek!

Haha, thats what mine was like. Havent got rid of them all but it's a damn site better!
If you wash it and clay it if you want to etc ready to be polished I can do it you for £50 if you're interested mate.

that will be going over with whatever grade/pad it needs, then a finishing polish and then waxing by hand.

The results definately look worth it. Well i've already spent hundreds on cleaning stuff so why not a bit more haha. Yeah hopefully I can maybes make a bit back and do some mates cars too.

Erm, well if the car was prewashed, clayed etc and ready to polish, for a clio sized car I'd probably want £50, for a bigger car such as yours would obviously take me a fair bit longer and use up a few more products like, so I'm not too sure.

To be honest it all depends on the next car I do so I can gauge how long things will take me, being my first time it took an age but now I have a better clue about what i'm doing should make it easier.
