You were sensible though and had the others replaced at the same time.Mine is fine, never had issues on any other ones fitted too.
when I had mine fiited,i thought bloody hell,it vibrates a lot... then it settled down, just seems normal now..was no whining from the gearbox, made a difference on the throttle..it became a new car..They weren't joking when they said it vibrates the s**t out of you lol!
When slowing down I can hear a bit of a whining noise from the gearbox I assume. Is that normal when having super stiff mounts?
Also, does the vibrating ever get less fierce or do you just stop noticing it?

Mine vibrates the mirror when revving! I can feel it through the steering wheel and seats at idle too.Only difference I noticed after fitting mine (on two different 172s) was a noticeable thud as the engine started. That's not a bang or a knock, just a more violent start up if that makes sense.
It vibrated for a few 100 miles but now it's calmed down completely. It was never really that bad in the first place. Yeah you can tell something is different, but it doesn't wobble the interior mirror or anything daft
Gash how?I did have a Powerflex dog bone fitted but it was gash compared to the evol.
Yeah you will for a few 100 miles. Give it time. You can't say it's not improved the gear change 100%? Give it time and it'll settle. I've done the same mod on all cars I've owned, Clio or not. Makes a world of differenceMine vibrates the mirror when revving! I can feel it through the steering wheel and seats at idle too.
What's the black Evol like ,is it too harsh for road use?I get a whining noise from my box since fitting vibratechnics engine and gearbox mounts along with an evol (black/race) dog bone mount. Not sure if this is down to the mounts or not (hoping it is). As far as vibrations go it really isn't that bad. I did have a Powerflex dog bone fitted but it was gash compared to the evol.
I've not once said anything bad about it lol, I think it's transformed the gear change for me. Better launches too.Yeah you will for a few 100 miles. Give it time. Sorry pal didn't mean to come across as though I was slating the Powerflex dog bone.. It's a massive improvement over the standard mount but as my car is more focused to track use it didn't offer enough engine stability or support for me as I was still getting a bit of engine rocking/movement on hard acceleration and gear changes. For road use its bang on and like others have said the vibrations will calm down. The evol (black) dog bone mount pretty much elimates all engine movement/rocking back and forth due to it pretty much being just a solid bar.Gash how? In all seriousness, what's the difference between the Evol and the Powerflex one once fitted?
To be honest I didn't notice a massive difference in vibrations over the Powerflex dog bone mount. I don't use the car very often on the road but for me it is acceptable for road use and the benefits far outweigh the cons. What's the black Evol like ,is it too harsh for road use?
I was only messing, was genuinely interested as I've considered that Evol one too! Cheers for the responseSorry pal didn't mean to come across as though I was slating the Powerflex dog bone..
