Sports grill makes such a big differnce to the front of the car mate. Its only like £42 from renault aswell and you get a nice big cardboard box with Renault on aswell lol.

Did the relocation pipe make much of a difference to the IK being in the original place?

yeah i cant belive the difference the car sounds much nicer. now i have moved that plastic bit it should sound better. ill report back when i have been to work and tested it lol.

i just looked at the guide to remove the grille im going to renault to order it friday so i get it sat hehe :)

I'm with Chris on that one I wouldn't but try it if you like. Would get the filter wet as well i'd have thought, renault wouldn't have put it there unless it was needed because they'd save money by not bothering.

Doubt it'd make much difference on a 1.2 anyway tbh as well.

Just drill a few holes in the panel, 2 50mm ones directly infront of the filer or something. Better airflow and still has protection for the alternator etc.

good thing there is no radiator in front of that filter other wise youd just be sucking in heat.

hey good thinking ill put it back on tomorrow after i done some holes. tbh it didnt make any difference with it off. :D but still it sounds way better when you put your foot down :D

buy a heatshield for it mate, otherwise warm air from engine will end up go into your cold air feed

i dont 40k without the pannel as i lost it when i had the relocation kit lol never had a problem. my alternator was a bit coroded but ok other than that lol

on the other hand the relocation kit will lose you torque, even more than you would loose on a normal open induction kit.

might not bother some but it didnt have torque in the first place last thing i wanted was to loose some! so i got shot of it.

would an enclosed kit like this one be better, as i want to get an induction kit at some point

yes, the problem with the relocation kit is the inlet tract is too long so it looses torque, not a problem with a filter bolted on to the manifold/throttle body, but heatsoak then becomes a problem so a design like you posted above is better.
