Fitted Viper to my 182 - MPG hmmm

  Racing Blue 182
Fitted it last night, cant say i can tell any difference in power, but it has gone from 30mpg to 23mog.

What mpg do others get with induction kits?

To be fair, i was thrashing it last nite to try see if there any difference in power.

Is everyone elses not louder than a standard air box?

you need to disconnect the air feed and direct it at the front of the filter if you want to sound like a tb's monster

I fitted mine recently but haven't installed the cold air feed yet as I haven't had time. Any veiws on if this is bad, or just personal preference etc? As far as MPG goes, haven't noticed any difference, sounds quite good when hitting 4K+ though! Just wanted advice on the CAF really! Cheers

Ive put my CAF over the original feed, to lengthen it. Ive also made a make shift heat sheild arround the viper, which seems to work. Dont have the feed on though.

I put the CAF over the original feed at first and kept losing power, so I took it off until I could sort it properly. So, you don't think its an issue to run it without the CAF?

Be carefull.... sounds like the fueling is like mine was.... get it checked on a rolling road. Mine was massively overfueling @WOT and under fueling at low revs.... I was getting 20 mpg when I fitted mine. BenR will confirm this as he helped develop the remap with Superchips...I think?.... but get it checked or it could be expensive. Had mine superchipped to overcome this.

Oh... and on a gentle 65mph run on a motorway I can still get 45mpg now..!!
