Fitting 172 cup springs onto a full fat 172

  Evo 8 Jap Crap
Is it worth fitting 172 cup springs onto a full fat 172?

How much lower are the cups and will you notice the difference?

Aye for sure....it'll prob gain about 20 brake when paired with a subtle cup badge on the B pillar too..as the 'cup' is a far more 'raw' 'drivers' car..

Right let me get this right a cup spoiler provides more down force so does a V spoiler provide enough down force to say...drive upside down??

i have a 172 and i raced a 172 cup and to be honest there was absoloutly nothing in it. As far as i can tell its just a cheap version without any of the usefull things!

The cup is better to drive as it has different steering? (electro-hydraulic), its lighter, wider track, and as it doesnt have ESP it is much more driver orientated than the FF 172. Although not quite as sensible!

What part of that is wrong?

The cup is lighter, has a wider track and i think it has different steering mechanism and is more exciting to drive IMO. And it doesnt have ESP / ABS/ Traction so its loads of fun, except in the snow.

All 172's have hydraulic steering - the non-sport Clio's have electric.

There's no difference in steering between a FF or a Cup for either 172 or 182.

The rest is right though ;)

Cheers MarkCup i stand corrected on the steering mechanism, to be fair i wasnt sure but i had read it somewhere. Thought this may a bit provoking but that is my understanding of the differences. Hence i bought a 172 cup
