Fitting a decat

Thinking of getting a decat for my blueflame as my cat full of water.....WIth it being a blueflame system do i need to buy blueflames own decat? or would any fit?

Also say if i fitted it and weeks down the line the light came on.....could i put the cat back in and is it guaranteed to go off again?....or could i have problem with the light even with re fitting the cat.


Also say on the off chance i got pulled and they saw it was decatted .....would i get a fine or anything?

i think you can buy the k-tec decat and you can bolt it straight on if your blueflame system is a cat back type. best ring k-tec and ask. I'm sure their decat will fit straight on.

good luck! police might ask you to present the car to their scrutineer but generally if your not driving silly, they won't bother you.

The light will not switch off if you put the cat back on, it will need to have the fault codes reset via the obd2 port.

You can buy a fault code reader, which can reset this for such situations as going back to the dealer etc. That said simply resetting it on the fore court would be enough lol, unless it was a o2 sensor problem etc, then they would blame the de-cat and you would be best to stick on the cat and reset it.

There is a thread on this last night, look on ebay for the above, only around £30.

For the record, I decatted by system a couple of days ago.

Today was the first time I heard it proper, as standing outside by the door and revving sounds completely different to someone else revving it, with you at the back.

It sounds sooooo nice Started to get quite loud now, has an awesome rasp to it, which is just enough not to make it sound too chavvy

any decat will fit
