anyone know if this is straight forward fit. Any new holes need drilling? Hints and tips welcome, cheers
self tapper screws.
is a lot easier with 2 people. One to hold it in place and one to screw it on.
before you start, cut the little tabs off flush so they don't get in the way.
That's my pet hate, even factory splitters that intentionally split in two look naff IMO.I fitted one to mine and cut the ends off. I did say that if ever I fitted another I'd make a cut in the centre of the splitter and keep the ends nice and tidy.
Thanks @Fergie606, I think I'm gonna somehow figure out what it will look like with the ends trimmed without cutting it, if it looks a bit gash then I'll probably do what Sunglasses_Ron has suggested and have a join in the middle, even if it upsets loggyboy 😂. The join will probably need a some kinda trim to tidy it up....Here you go @oreA
Still not sure what the best thing to do is??
They don't look naff mate . To the untrained eye of a Clio owner they'd look oem . I just positioned mine in place , used some masking tape to hold it there and drilled some very small pilot holes in the bumper then used self tappers . Trimmed the ends with a sharp stanley knife , job done . Some people don't even bother with pilot holes , but I prefer to do it that way.^ that told me 😂. I was just worried the cut ends would look naff. Having now seen them it's fair to say they look just fine, and if it's good enough for most everyone else.......
