fitting a momo strut brace on a 16v

hi i need some help on this as i bought a momo one, which has nothing with it. Firstly ive moved everything causing an obstruction, but how the hell do i secure it? Self tapping screws? bolts? does it matter precicely where i put it, for instance does it need to be secured in exactly the same spot on each side?
