Fitting a new grille to the clio

Im thinking about getting the square grill from the dealership and fitting it to my clio, but ive looked at the grill thats already fitted (the honeycomb one) and it seems that the sensor for the alarm is there, now when i come to replace it, will it be as simple as drilling a new hole in the grill and putting the sensor back on, or if i disconnect the sensor from the alarm will it reset it, or loose the connection.

Sorry for the strange question, but im completly useless at anything like this so i dont want to bugger up my car or the alarm system

No problem disconnecting the connector. As you say, put a new hole in the new grill.

yeah you can use a wood hole drill piece, i did it with a manual drill
