Fitting a stainless back box tomorrow any tips?

This well be my first time fitting an exhaust. Hopefully the old one should come off easily at it has recently had a new centre section.

I'm told this back box should just fit onto the standard system. Fingers crossed

Good luck mate! It will be dead easy if it's had a new centre section - No rust to worry about

Cheers bud. I Hope so! Really tempted to start now. The tail pipe is a bit bigger than what I had originally wanted but came up at a good price

What car is it mate? Will it fit in the exhaust recess okay or is it going below the bumper?

172 and was told it is suitable for 2001 onwards so hopefully shouldn't need the bumper cutting

Ah fair enough. Could always cut one if it sits too low, not a massive job

Yer cannot wait to get this fitted! Just splaying the ends a bit to make sure it goes straight on

Looks like it's going to loud.

Once it warms up its loud but not deafening. It's fine in the cabin doesnt sound much louder than standard. Not bad for a £50 purchase

Will be able to turn the bracket upside down if I decide to do that. Easy fix

Yeah recess it mate. Would a 182 exhaust surround fit over that beast?

4.5 inch I don't think so

Here is the snag. Can't work out how to fit the bracket to lift the exhaust up. As you can see the hammer is welded in place
