Is there some sort of magical device that I can tap into the wires from the speakers in the rear quarters to turn the signal from the speaker wire into RCA output for a sub?

CBA fecking about with new headunits. No one wants to steal a tape player ;)

Oh, your bumpstrips should arrive today or tomorrow

Cheers youth.

I planned to do the same thing with my old 172, bought a couple of these adaptors and a ipod lead, then a nice Alpine came up for sale so I bought that instead.

Let me know how you get on with it.

I'm jump on this thread, does anyone know how these are wired in? I presumed it was for wiring to the speaker cable (rear?) Then I took the head unit out and the cables from the hi/low adapter are the same colours as the display clip (yellow)

Any advise peeps? Also pictures could help.

Rear Left '+' & '-' , Rear Right '+' & '-', and black one to earth, halfords also sell autoleads versions - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_186391_langId_-1_categoryId_265889

ive lost count of line out convertors ive fitted at our shop but that one above (although an autoleads product) is particularly poor. i always supply the autoleads pc1-610 to my customers for £9.99. thats is a good quality convertor with adjustable gain on it aswell. 4 wires to connect by joining onto your orignal speaker wires left+/- and right +/-.
