fitting an oil temp sensor

Does anyone have any suggestions to fit an oil temp sensor to a K4m 1.6 engine?

we use SPA digital gauges with a take off plate betwen the oil filter and block, several ways to do it, and several opinions on where oil temp should be measured too

The oil temp sensor on my 182 is getting fitted in the same place Fred has mentioned but linking mine into the aftermarket dash. On mine it will also be the take off for the oil cooler!

oh sweet. yeah I'm looking at doing something like that too. I need to keep tabs on my oil temps on trackdays. Firstly just noting the temp on a hot'ish day, then decide whether I need an oil cooler or not.
