Fitting Coilovers

  Clio 172 Cup
What parts do you use from your old strut? Is it exactly the same, had a look in the guide section but no pics showing various parts in the correct order?

Thanks

You replace your full strut and spring with the coilover. You should only be using the existing top mounts...

what part constitutes (sp) as the top mount??

is the rubber bit and the bearings underneith included?

Just keep everything that is found above the arch. Eg everthing you take off when you lift up the bonnet.

Undo everthing under the bonnet first and keep.

Two bottom bolts, support the disc and hub. Lightky knock the strut out towards the engine.

repeat in reverse for putting the new one on.

the only thing you take off above the arch is the top cup,

the bearings and rubber bit sit below the arch, but keep them aswell,

and remove the transport nut?? or is that optional??

Quick question about the rear springs and adjuster for the height, can you just fit the springs and leave out the adjuster? Thanks

Don't have to put the adjuster in, it will drop the car a little more without it.

If you go over a hefty bump and the rear lifts up though, your springs will be out ;)

Don't worry about it though, I never did!
