fitting components

Just purchased some JBL gto 505ce components £30 too good to miss brand new from digitalsounds direct

Just wondered how people had fitted them as they seem to be a favourite on here

i.e. where did you put the crossover ? How did you mount the tweeters ? Which wires are the + and the - ?

Help needed as i want them fitted this weekend

Heres a few pics of mine to give you an idea - i placed the cross overs behind the dash, just above the glovebox. Mounted my amp under the passenger seat.

Thats really nice mate but mines is going in a mk2 ph1 think the tweeters are a bit harder to get in

Theres a guide on the main page to take the dash off for the tweeters. Its pretty accurate but quite useful if you have a mate to help you with it!

I put the crossovers in the boot under the false floor.

Cheers EvilJohn not sure about the floor for me but may look under the dash is it a hard job to take the dash off - did you do it on yours

Yeah I used the guide and it wasnt too bad a job. Bit of a pain in the ass but not horrendous. I was orginally looking at the xovers in the dash but the infinity ones seemed too big for it.

The JBL ones are quite big aswell not sure if there gonna be anywhere to put them may try on Sunday if my hangovers not too bad

You can just about see them in front of the sub in this pic. Quite a job to do it all but pleased I did as its run through my amp.
