Fitting decat - do you need cat fitting kit?

I am planning to buy a milltek decat (to go with my milltek exhaust).

I've seen a few threads saying that to fit a cat pipe, you need a fitting kit.. ? Are you not able to use the existing bolts / gasket or whatever is there? And where can I find this kit if needed?

previous owner fitted a cat fairly recently so would think existing one would be fine but want to make sure.

If they're in good condition it'll be fine te reuse. I've reused old ones before without issues. The gasket crushed though so might not adjust properly to the new pipework causing a leak. But you can always fit a new kit if that happens.

Edit: you can get the kit form Renault parts direct, think I paid just under £20 last time.

First time doing anything exhaust wise so i'll give it a go and find a kit if its needed.
