fitting lightened flywheel

I'm fitting a new clutch and flywheel

How much nm for the flywheel and clutch?

55Nm for the flywheel iirc....make sure you use some locktite...they recommend new bolts also...but meh!

mine was fine using that method....also used screwdriver in the flywheel in the past

did you get the ECU ok mate?

yes. Ring-gear is quite strong, it's what the starter turns the whole engine with

Wow, I've got new bolts so no need for thread lock I take it?

Also with the crank seal should I put a bit of sealant on it when I fit it?

the new bolts should come with like thread lock stuff already on them IIRC

i'd threadlock, 55Nm isn't very tight.

a very light smear of sealent on the crank seal wont hurt and may help it slide in easier (lubrication)

Yeah they've got some green stuff near the head on the thread.

I'll whack some on aswell just to be sure

Are they deffo 55nm as I've snapped 2 tightening to that!

thats why they recommend new bolts. Flywheel bolts are normally stretch bolts.

Edit - sounds silly, but you are tightening progressively round all the bolts right?
