if this is in the wrong section, i'm sorry....

Has anyone got any pics of how/where their harnesses are mounted?
I mean close up pics, so i can see exactly how they are positioned.

I have 2 bucket seats, 2 harnesses, and a naked interior.

Many thanks, much love.

Yes but if i do a Senna and hit a wall at 100mph, the strut brace will just rip right off and be of no use whatsoever! lol

Really, the back straps are fine, i'm just a bit stuck with the lap belt section...

Havnt got any pics mate, but used the normal place on both sides of the seats and used the same bolt that goes through the rear seat belts.

Normally best to go with the standard places as they are designed to with stand the impact etc.

i've drilled through the transmission tunnel bit, and put an eyelet there, for the right hand side, i used the metal bar that the original belt fastened to.

but i don't have any pictures here! so not much help really.

As Jamo says .. use the existing seat belt mounting bolts for the front and the o/s/r lower belt mounting to strap the rear of the harness..could not be simpler..but sorry no pics of mine

tbh, i'm still really confused.

If i mount them in the rear floor, where 99% of people have them,

A) it doesn't look right. Kind of all 'Bodged in'

B) it sounds as though i'll crush my spine on impact!!

So should i Weld a Fat bar in between the rear suspension turrets and use that to mount them? would that be safer?

we weld in a bar between the rear shock turrets for the 2 should straps to attach to

for the lap belt we bolt it to where the oe lower belt bar (the bit the oe belt sides on at the bottom) once went, and with cobra seats they come with an eyelet (nearest the handbrake) for the other side of the belt to attach to

NO!!!! get it done by a pro that can TIG weld and use a steel tube that is incredibly strong (we use a shape like this

______
(______)

^if that makes sense (cross sectional view)

From the looks of it bud, you need some mild steel ? or stainless perhaps ? box section.

Not 100% sure on the dims perhaps fred could give a rough idea ?

I know of a metal supplier who should be able to deliver to you, they are based in chepstow but come over this way loads.

If you get the details i will give them a bell and see if they stock it or can get it etc.
