Fitting Pioneer Stereo

I have recently purchased a 172 and have tried fitting my Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD head unit in today, but because it has loads of wires i cant get the stereo fully flush into the hole. Just Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they managed to fit the unit.

Any help would be appreciated..........

I ended up taking the dash off and positioning the wires away from the back of the unit , you could try (if you have small hands) trying to coax the wires to the side

cheers mate, i have tried everything for the last three hours.

I was hoping i did not have to remove most of the dash.

top of the dashboard comes off easily, and helps alot. I fitted my first headunit with great difficulty, second one wasnt a problem as i just took the top of the dash off! lol
