fitting polycarb windows

Has anyone fitted rear quarter glass windows ??

I was wondering weather to bond them in or use nuts and bolts with damming tape.

With damming tape they can be removed easier without damage... Well other than the bolt holes.

Ideas people ???

Didn't look like rocket science tbh.. If you have the windows I'd bond them.. screwing would rattle if I understand what your saying. .

That's the idea of the damming tape, it's sticky and water tight as far as I am aware. So you put that on where you would be bonding and bolt it too. I'd bolt it even if I was bonding too.

I regularly see a national windscreens van parked up down my road. I am going to ask him if he can fit my polocarbonate windows (when I eventually buy some)

They are a piece of piss to fit it's just I'm not sure what route to take. If I want to put the car back to standard at any time damming tape and bolts is the best way. As long as it is water proof.

For the price it costs to have someone remove the glass and bond the polycarbs in, I'd just have a specialist do it.

Wouldn't bother bolting them either, with the right bonder they'll be perfectly fine and won't look s**t.

I really like the bolts lol I am a panel beater so I already have a firm to cut the glass out and they can bond it too. I just like the bolted in look.

Seems like you have already made your mind up, so why ask. Bolted look is rubbish, haven't even done that on the race car.

To be fare I think you like your idea as it's something your familiar with and you want everyone to agree it's a good idea.

Ha ha sadly I'm not that single minded.

Hense asking for IDEAS !!??

If someone said that damming tape was s**t and bonding was the best was... GREAT.

Same as bolts... I like the look and safety of them but do agree it is a bit ott.

Driving around with no insurance. Speeding through housings estate. Playing music very loud and running from the police when they try to catch me.

NO .....

I am leaving it sat in my garage.

Tbh it's a stupid law if you ask me.

There's no way I am sending my tax disc back for two months that's left on it and I don't need it insured as I won't be using it hopefully till Feb or March.

Hope this answers your question copper.
