Fitting Racing Seats???

  RenaultSport Clio 172 Mk2
Hi , i want to fit Racing Seats in my car but don't want to mess around with my airbags and seatbelt tensioners? Is it possible and how?:S

Do you want recliners or buckets ? and will you be retaining the original belts or using harness' ? tbh the best combination (assuming you dont need to use the rear seats) are buckets and harness' as for the tensioners and airbag lights the car can be reprogrammed by renault to think its a cup (they dont have side airbags) so it will get the light off the dash.

Where is the best place to mount harness's to, im thinking about some for trackdays but i carnt see an easy place to mount them on the inside of the drivers seat?

oh got problem regarding airbags. :( i went to renuaklt yesterday, and they said if i get racing seats, the airbag and service light will appear. because i disconnected them :( there w*****s a reno. there must be a way

There is, Gary had his sorted at a renault dealer. they plugged it into clip and turned the light off by selecting a Cup on the software. Either that or you can plug a resistor into the connectors to fool the ECU (fred knows the rating) As for harness mounting points the rear goes to the botls that hold the isofox bar in or to the rear buckles if you have the type that can be plugged into a conventional belt buckle. and the fronts the outer goes to the lower belt mount on the bottom of the b pillar and the inner ones go to a bracket on the buckets subframe.
