Fixed IP 3G SIMs?

Anyone use them yet? We've used the standard USB dongle broadband shizzle in the past and they seem very flakey at best.

Has anyone got any experience of the fixed IP variants? I would like to know if they have been more stable that the dynamic versions. Not bothered about speed really, just maintaining a connection that's workable.

Are they not the same, bar the provider will assign it a static ip? Recently our standard usb jobs have been relatively stable, staying connected for hours (t-mobile). Only issue is with low signal areas.

Unless there is a specific need for a static IP, will there be any difference?
