Fk coilovers fitted

My god how awesome. Have them hard all the way round for now, as it was going dark.

May have slammed it to much on the front as its rubbing a little when turning and going over bumpy ground.

Did an educated guess at making sure the height and camber were the same at the front.

However, going to get it set up properly.

Any ideas on cost of this? And should i get it done straight away, or wait for them to settle?

Pics to follow when daylight :)

Straight away IMO

I waited and ruined a set of tyres because everything was out :(

After i fitted my H&R's i set it to max camber 3 weeks later the tyres were pretty mashed.
Let them settle for a few days but get it set up ASAP imo :)

Hmm Mine is set to max camber and just put some R888's on. I better get it setup properly this week.

Did you have to add spacers to run full camber as I did?

No it will run full camber, but it just doesnt look right.

Looks cool but i just knew it wasnt gona be doing the tyres any good.

Trying to book it in a demon tweeks, or abp next saturday. Will be ok as it is for the rest of the week.

I don't understand how mine touched the tyre then?!?

I put 10mm spacers either side anyway and am now running full camber. It was hard to set up an exact degree so just ran full negative, it doesn't look odd though, it looks how it always did on standard suspension and running pull positive the wheels look like this \ /

Ben, I have the Fk's too, You can run full camber & its doesnt rub untill your corneing at speed, had no probs at all round town but when i get to 100+ jellybabys an hour it was just catching the top inside of the lining plus it looked like the wheels were fooked with that amount of camber lol!

Place near me in chertsey charges £35 to adjust toe in & check the camber but they charge a couple more quid to adjust the camber aswel, guys in there were sweet as, gave me a tour of how it all worked, was well worth the trip :approve: ( 10 minutes away :rasp: )

Its just catching ever so slightly on the little bump of plastic that covers the nut for the front bumper.

What does it look like with full Neg camber? Any pics?

Pics will be done asap, at ork today :(:(:(

djroberts, You cant be using Fk's then? camber on the Fk's is mental, makes it look like you've had a high speed impact with the kirb plus i found it was far too much camber for fast road, i'm running sligtly more than standard & the car drives spot on, Ben those bits of plastic burn/fall off ;)

Definitely on FK's with the dampening adjustable dampers! if that makes any difference. The top bolt is as far toward the strut as it will go!?

Interesting, maybe just the wheel/height combo then, Mine looked silly with that much camber on the front & very little on the back plus the handling wasnt all that so re-adjuted it, have heard rumor its better run the Fk's soft as possible on the Fronts & one complete turn from soft - hard on the back, will let you know results tomorrow as i've only just adjusted it, need a reason for a drive lol

I was going to just cut it off :) It loked spot on how low it was :)

I have mine set to full hard all round, didnt have time to adjust and mess around. Really funny, as it skits along the road like a little buggy :)

Take it to tweeks. Full geo set up around ~£60

Had all my Coilovered cars set up there. I usually let mine settle a week or so

Yep!! You tell them, they'll do it. Have a full fandango geo set up machine. The Kevs send all there cars there, even the famous Baggs was set up there too ;)

Chop the archliner around the front bumper bracket out, thats where thy catch. Search it ;)

Thatll be my first job when i get time then, shall i just cut the bump out?

Will go tweeks and get it set up, been there before and IMO are very very good.

Just wait for them to reply see when they can get me in :)

Quite possibly, maybe if I went lower it would start to come out more, but it is quite low!

I'm running full hard on the back which was brilliant on the track, no oversteering whatsoever compared to apex's on standard. Front's I have turned one turn softer from hard. Not too harsh but I think for road use it'll be near all on soft, just gotta try out and see what feels good!

Up-date!

Fronts on soft.. Rears turned one complete turn clockwise from soft.. Feels much better :D, worth trying for those that have Fk's
