Fk coilovers (will they fit)

Hi got a chance to get some fk coilovers for a very good price the only problem is they are coming off a 05 plate 1.2/1.4 not sure, will they fit my 02 plate 172 or not, also are fk coilovers any good? Thanks

Bolt spacing, you need to find what bolt spacing your car and the coilovers are.

I've just found out there of a phase 2 1.2 16v the dude that is selling them is totally adamant they will fit right on, as he says there of an identical car apart from engine/running gear his words not mine, and before he had the coilovers he said he had 172 suspension on his,again his words not mine,he said the only one it won't fit is the cup, ( I realise the dude is trying to sell me something and could be talking a load of crap in order to do so) any thoughts would be massively appreciated

Cheers addicted for your reply, I think I might just leave them coz I can't get no sense out this fella just asked him about the bolt spacing on the shocks and he said it makes no difference as there adjustable either way ( think he's just saying anything to sell them now to be honest) but if he's right please correct me, thanks

That's what I though as well m8 some people will say anything when there trying to sell you something lol, but like I said the guy is totally sure they will fit he even said if I give him 30 quid he will fit them on my car his self.

1.2 16v are 58mm bolt spacing. I can't remember what 172's are off the top of my head. 54/52mm something like that.

Just been out and measured mine its 54mm that's what I got

The guy just got back to me and he gets his set at 53mm mines 54mm do you guys think its worth a go or not??

53mm isn't possible lol. That's not a Renault bolt spacing. He's measured wrong.

no point, there will be 2mm in it, they're pretty precise, I doubt they will fit mate.

Am going to give them a go as there really cheap plus if they don't fit my m8 with 1.2 16v said if they don't he will buy them straight of me, nothing to lose apart from an hour or two of time, ill post results either way

I will when they don't fit, personaly I don't think they will fit but like I said for 60 quid its worth a shot
