Just had a call from the garage after my Cambelt failure, it's bad. All 16 valves are bent, a rocker is broken, it's damaged the power steering pump, the dephaser needs done, the water pump etc etc etc. 2050 to get it fixed. Just not worth it due to the value of the car. Gutted to say the least.

Can't you source a second hand engine as suggested in your other thread?

Be much cheaper to source another engine and have the belts done on that for the future.

Ive got one local to me i can have and get sprayed, its just the ease of getting one which is roughly the same colour
